Wow, that's a sad picture. The pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial is supposed to be an symbol of America. I am sure they could find worse things to spend their money on than filling up that symbol.

Maybe it was going to be cleaned so it had to be drained? May have rained a bit explaining the small puddles.

And a little reflection is still there. It may be now titled the reflecting puddle :D

horrible thing is im american and i never knew it was a "reflecting pool". I just thought it was just a cool thing to put between the memorial and the other thing on the other side. (white house i think?)

lol this is really weird tho, but i don't see the point of draining the pool unless it really needs to be cleaned, and wouldn't they cover up what they weren't cleaning? this makes no sense to me >.<
