This wasnt written to insult any single religion..just something i have always felt. If you do not agree, thats fine, up to you. Please do not bash or insult me because you do not agree.

In the name of God
I hereby claim you dead
you're women mine
and your house torched

In the name of God
men have been killed
for religious glory
for eternal salvation

In the name of God
women have been raped
for religous impurity
for family shame

In a church here lies
a tomb shrouded in light
cob web covered glory
eternity unnamed and unknown

Here lies the tomb
of a soldier of God
dead from the sword
from a battle for God

Who listens to a God
whom asks to kill
whom asks to steal
from those who do not believe?

Who is this merciful God
who asks to shame
who asks to murder
those who do not believe?

Who is this eternal savior
who gives forgivness after shame
who demands death for life
to those who do not believe?

In the name of God
this soldier died
to lay in a tomb
forgotton by all but the spiders

In the name of God
I hereby claim you dead
you're women mine
and your house torched

This is a great poem, I think it is very true.

If there really is a God, why would all of this stuff happen?

I'm not going to start a big religious flame war. So the most I can say is nice poem.

Personally, I have never found it comfortable to talk about religion. I just say that religion is a word that starts with an R and I leave it at that.

... Yeah, that's really it.

You can't blame God for everything wrong in the world. People bring these types things upon themselves.

It is indeed sad but true that people do these things "in the name of God"

Spoiler for Nietszche Quote:

But what did such a Teuton afterwards look like when he had been "improved" and led into a monastery? Like a caricature of a human being, like an abortion: he had become a "sinner," he was in a cage, one had imprisoned him behind nothing but sheer terrifying concepts... There he lay now, sick, miserable, filled with ill-will towards himself; full of hatred for the impulses toward life, full of suspicion of all that was still strong and happy. In short, a "Christian"... - Twighlight of the Idols

I don't know, I've always believed that in order for "good" to exist, "bad" must exist.

It has some grammatical errors, but I won't point them out unless you want me to. Other than that..I don't know. You say "god" an awful lot. Different perspective though, and I respect that.

Veyr nice poem.

It relates the the religion so well and gives it the definity that it shows its self to have in the truest form.
