sin(π/2) is radian for sin(90). Since sine starts at 0 and reaches a maximum at π/2.

This is an integral, the reverse of a derivative. A derivative simply means rate of change at a certain point. An integral works in the reverse direction. So with this...

The integral of 9x^2 comes out to 3x^3 on [0, 2]. We know this is right because the derivative of 3x^3 is 9x^2. Put more simply:
[(3(2)^3 - 3(0)^3]

Which yields 24.

Oh cool, we haven't learned integrals yet. sounds interesting though. I think it may actually be our next unit in Algebra II :D
