I'm sure some of you have heard of them, maybe even have one, and maybe you haven't. Well I just recently got myself a nice green laser from Wicked Lasers =D (for the sake of the company they call them "portable lasers" instead of pointers)
Green lasers are wayyyyy brighter than your little <5mW red laser. Noo, these are different. First and foremost, I actually own the second weakest WL makes, a 15mW. Their two common types go 15mW-125mW, and their really expensive ones are 200-300mW. And why they aren't called pointers...well the strong ones.....they burn. They actually have power, and can sometimes even light a cigarette. I got the weaker one just because I wanted a nice bright laser, and didn't want to spend $500 XD
This one cost me $100, which is what I call awesome. In dark conditions, you not only can see the laser dot, you can actually see the beam of the laser. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get a night video or picture yet, so you'll have to settle for this. And also due to the fact it is bright out and I'm in a small room slightly dark the picture isn't that great, but oh well.
Also a video comparing a red to mine (no beam due to crappiness of camera, wait until the night video!). Also, when my room is pitch black it lights up the whole room
