Metal Video #2 - Scar Symmetry

OK, here I am trying to look smart and all-knowing about metal and stuff, but I'm only trying to make people know bands that are more or less known, or just that I like.

Ok, this time (last time was a video from BTS - Beneath The Sky) i'll show you a music video from Scar Symmetry.

Warning, you might not like it, because of the vocals. Most of my friends think this band sucks because of the bad mix of Death Metal voice and Metalcore voice. See for yourself, I do not garantee you will like it, but I find it's a good mix of soilwork-ish music mixed with Lamb of God's vocals

Also, please vote on what next kind of metal band you'd like to know... or if you just want me to shut the **** up about this, it's ok too.

You may share your thoughts about the band/songs. Or better, you can state some other good bands so everybody will learn something!!

It personally took me a while to like this band but after some time the music is enjoyable.

Some Speed Metal would be great ;D

I liked the The Illusionist song, but it had a weak solo though.

Not bad song, but like kill3rz said, solo isn't the best one I've heard.

The whole screaming like a phycho always just makes me laugh. I find it hard to see why anyone would like it..but yeah, i guess people do.

Personally i think there are to many "metal <name>" types, just call it **** metal.

Metal is categorised a lot because it varies a lot, unlike other genres like rock where it's just 3 chords repeating while synching with lyrics.
Most probably the people who don't even listen to metal will just ignore this post and still think they're all the same.
Some metal genres have that grunt, like death metal or black metal. But some metal genres, like speed metal or power metal, it's usually high-tone vocals. So obviously, if they're all categorised into one Heavy Metal, expect confusion. Which already is happening 'cause people who don't listen to them just think they're all groans and guitar-wrecking. Which is not. Unless it's black metal. Where it just sucks.

+1. Except that I like Dimmu Borgir (Black Metal with an Orchestra), it sounds good.

BTW Creepy, if you don't like that **** Metal just don't go here and go listen to your emo music. Everybody has their tastes and classifications are really useful for this wonderful kind of music.
