virus's how to get rid of em

well i have a virus and i want to know how to get rid of it. well my bro said if you take out the memory board and then put it back in and reboot everything the virus would let go and disapear. and no i am not going to the pros cuz my mom wont bring it in but i could ask my oldest bro for help or his freind could help..... well anyways can anyone help me it is really imporatat cuz i have to go to the library if im doing anything that i need to do fast w/o lagging.

Anyways, taking out the memory chip won't work ..
The Virus is in your hardrive, nothing to do with memory card.

Or you can just reboot and reformat your whole harddrve, but you'll lose your file only if you backup them into D drive or a disk or whatever ...
Hopefully, it's disappear, some virus, reboot and reformating the computer, it still stays in the harddrive, if so get a new one

anti virus will get rid of a virus 90% of the time, unless the virus gets thru the anti virus, disables the anti viurs, infects all harddrives, also gets itself into your memory, and also your master boot record.. TO FULLY get rid of it.. shut down your pc, find a boot disk (floppy disk) or your operating system cd ( the one that has windows xp, or 98, whatever ur system is ).. you need to run a debug on your hard drive, but you have the find the script to do it for that particular hard drive, and im not sure how to get it..

After debug, shut down pc, unplug the power cable, and hold the power button in for about 30 seconds, it will drain all power besides the mother board battery.. This removes anything in memory..then simply restart, partition the hard drive, format it, install your operating system.. only if you have a virus you cant get rid of using anti virus software.

then go to

it tells you how

The script is MSdos, very old script .. the 1995's ...
but usually the cd will debug once for you.

yes but the script isnt the same for all hard drives. There are different brands of hard drives which you know. You literally have to type a certain script depending on the hard drive itself.. I've never heard of the brand of my hard drive, and cant remember what it is..But i have to type stuff like this in.. its an example..

-f 200 L1000 0
-a cs:100
XXXX:0100 mov ax , 301

and there is lots more, anyways, i dont know alot about win xp and so on, but does xp allow you to make a new master boot record (MBR) and erase the old one, so no virus can still be stored on the HD.
