Why can I no longer play RS on my mac???

Hello all I have not played in 2-4 months. I used to play on both my mac and PC and it used to work fine on both but a little laggy on the mac because it is slightly older(3 years old) PC(1.5 years) But now it is almost impossible to play on my mac the browser just crashes!! (Yes I have used multiple browsers) what has Jagex done? or is it snow leopard?

origanal macbook
2.0 GHz 2GB ram snowleopard.

If you're using Safari you need to make it run in 32 bit mode. Select Safari, right click, do a get info, enable 32 bit. Try that first.

What other browsers have you tried specifically?

Have you tried running any other Java apps, like this?
I'm not advurtising :3

Also, does it crash as soon as it starts to load up, or does it crash in the middle of play? Have you changed the Java settings or tried to run the game in "safe mode"?

Safari,Firefox and opera all crash on the log in screen

Try clearing the cache. Spotlight -> Java Preferences. From here head on into the Network tab and choose "Delete Files."

Then, open Terminal (Spotlight -> Terminal).

From here you want to type rm -fr ~/.jagex_cache_32/

That will remove the cache file from your home directory.

Try this and report back.
