Can you access Google via http://74.125.67.100 ?

Also what do ping requests say for "ping google.com"?

Could it be proxy and port settings? If you're using IE or Chrome, global setting as used (for all applications on the PC), but Firefox has it's own settings, so it's possible to access the Internet on MSN and "break" Firefox at the same time. However, this wouldn't happen with IE or Chrome.

It does either sound like a proxy problem or some type of spyware.

Hell, maybe someone's playing a cruel joke on you and blocking port 80 on your firewall. XD

Never thought of that... Check Windows firewall and any other third party firewall that you may have installed to see if port 80 is being blocked. Also, if you're connected to a router, check to see if port 80 is open.

Also, have you tried accessing the Internet from a different user account? If this works then you should be able to discount proxy settings as these are specific to user accounts. The same goes for Windows firewall settings (I think- you'll have to check on that though).
