HP-XP-Altec Lansind sound driver

I downgraded my HP laptop from vista to XP...Although I don't have sound...I figured the reason would be because I don't have my Altec Lansing sound driver installed...I've looked around and couldn't find the installer...I've tried using Driver updaters like Driver Detective and Driver Robot...They didn't help much. Where or how can I downlaod and Install the Driver?

First of all give us the model number of the computer or we can't help you. Second, if the computer came with Vista there is little to no chance there will be any XP drivers for it.... but we can figure that out once we know what model you have.

Here are the drivers they have:

Windows Vista 32-bit: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/soft ... duct=3795238&lang=en

Windows Vista 64-bit: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/soft ... duct=3795238&lang=en


As you can see, there are none for XP. I think you should go back to Vista or get 7.

ugh doesnt show there... :evil: :evil: :evil: Well this sucks...back to Vista probably... :x

whoo!!! I asked on hackforums.net (srry if that was advertising) and they gave me a link to a thign that works! i have sound now!!!!!
