I Have a Simple Problem

I don't know why, but I haven't been able to post a picture on the forums. Ever. I read the guide, but it always seems around an inch wide. It's too small. Can someone give me a more updated guide on how to take the picture URL into an image code so it can be visible as a picture? I don't know why, but it never works for me. Can someone help me?

easy go to imageshack upload picture, go down where it says direct link copy it highlight and copy it, now

[*img]insert link here[*/img] it has to be in img tags, by the way remove * that i put in there.

There's no direct copy link.

In caps. If you havent tried that already try it now.
