Urgent Help needed

I have no clue what happened but today I started up my laptop and after I type in the password my Documents automatically open and if I close them I just have a black screen. Nothing loading or anything. No Applications, widgets, or taskbar. I presses ctrl+alt+del and opened Firefox and this is all I can do. I am able to run programs by selecting "Run"
Most of my services appear to be all "stopped" I only have 7 processes running.
I'm running on HP,
Vista Home Premium,
1GB Ram

Please help, This is a serious problem.

Some reason makes think its a virus. Have you tried to run your anti-virus?

Problem Fixed. There was no virus or anything its just for some reason my explorer.exe file didn't start so I had to manually start it. Explorer.exe runs all the services on Windows.
Strange isn't it.

Glad it got fixed. I'll remember that one, I'm using Vista too.
