I recently bought a new 80gb hard drive from Tiger Direct to use as my secondary hard drive and keep the original I have. The problem is that the hard drive didn't come with any cables at all and I am not sure which ones I need.

Here is the link to hard drive I purchased

It would be wonderful if anybody could let me know which cables I need to purchase.

Generally speaking, interior hard drives don't come with cables, you need to fasten it down inside the unit and plug it in using the power supply's cables and cables already attatched to the mother board. This saying, I don't really know much about second interior hard drives, but if it's anything like an external as soon as it's in, the computer will recognise it straight away under My Computer.

Thanks I kind of figured that I have to connect it to my power supply. But the original hard drive only has one the cable attached to the motherboard. So I figured I might need another one.

To make it even more clearer do all hard drives support the same type of cables or are there are certain ones for certain hard drives?

All hard drives do not use the same cables but your computer probably already has all the cables that you need inside. Usually there will be a connector near the middle of the IDE/SATA/SCSI cable in addition to the connector at the ends. Although if you do need another then this is probably what you need. Heres a guide for installing hard drives.

A Kid asked Jesus, "How much do you love me?" and Jesus said. "This much."
And spread his arms out on the cross and died.
If you believe that he did this for you put this in your signature.

I actually needed only SATA cable since one was already connected to my original hard drive along with the power supply.
