Having Trouble Installing A New Theme!

Ok so I downloaded Uxtheme Multi-Patcher 5.5 and then downloaded a theme I liked off http://www.deviantart.com. I copied and pasted the 'Shell' folder and the .msstyles file into C:/Windows/Resources/Themes but when I try to change the theme it doesn't appear. Is there any way to get it to show up?

Look in the Appearance tab, not Themes.

Its still not there. I can't see it in any of the tabs.

I could never get them to appear in the list. I just double click on the .msstyle and it opens up in that display properties window and you can apply it.

I've tried that, and it still didn't work.
Cliff, I'll try the trial version of Tuneup Utilities.

Maybe your download didn't complete all the way and the .msstyles file is broken.

Is this the theme you are trying to use? I downloaded it and the msstyle is 3.5MB for me.

Regardless if it is or not, you should try redownloading the theme and see if that works. I wouldn't want to use more software for themes, those use up lots of ram.

Mike, that wasn't the theme I was trying to use. I wanted this theme. I just redownloaded it and the problem persued. I'm really stuck with this now :S

Do any other msstyles files work for you? That one works fine for me.

Your operating system might have replaced the uxtheme.dll with the original when it detected that it was changed. You could try running the patcher again, something should have come up saying windows detected the changed file and asking you if you want to keep it.
