Vista & fonts

alright, so I got a new computer with vista, I like it, its working fine except for I'm having troubles getting fonts to get into the windows/font file. I d/led "silkscreen" off of dafont and extracted the files, etc. But I just cant seem to get it to move into the file, I'll copy them, move them manually but it just won't work. If anyone has discovered a way to fix this problem, please tell me, it would be greatly appreciated
