Post subject: Hardware problems on old pc
PostPosted: April 22nd, 2007, 1:03 am
Hi!

This week I noticed that my "old" pc seemed to reboot itself at random times. It worked fine for over a half year...
I looked in the logs and I saw "amli: acpi ..."
I thought my xp install was borked so I did a clean install but the problem remains... Does it mean that I can throw away Yet another Mobo???

Do you kick this pc when you get angry at it?
Do you get any warning that the pc is going to reboot or does it just do it?

The most common problem around here that causes random restarting is a bad(or damaged) PSU (Power Suply Unit), check to see if the fan in the back is running if it is then that might not be the problem, but if it isn't then that is atleast one thing that needs fixing.

A Kid asked Jesus, "How much do you love me?" and Jesus said. "This much."
And spread his arms out on the cross and died.
If you believe that he did this for you put this in your signature.
