Yeah. that happens to me sometimes. I only have a modem thats it and I just move that back and forth between my computer and 360.
Well anyways the problem wears off over time. I just reset my system a couple of times and it works. That may not be the same case though. Sorry if it's not.

Usually it happens to me when I lose connection, I do the same thing you do and it works.
Since you have a 360, do you know when you test your xbox live connection? Usually, when it is searching for a Wireless connection and finds it, it either goes "Connected" under wireless connection and "Connected" or "Failed" under IP. The point is, the "Connected" "Connected", etc. both go up at the same time instead this time it says the wireless is connected and waits about 20 seconds for it to say "Failed" under IP Address. If you have any idea what I'm talking about, do you thing that contributes to the problem?

Try connecting your Xbox directly to your computer with a cable so it can identify some sort of IP Address without a wireless connection. Then see if it will work with the wireless connection.
I would have done that ages ago if my computer was close enough, but its not
Thanks for the help though
