My Network Administrator (my older brother) has blocked the runescape website on all the computers in the house, and I was wondering if anyone knew how to get around it? I tryed running rs through SwiftSwitch, and several other programs, but I can't get around the router (it comes up with "401 The website is blocked by an administrator" and he is the only one with the password. The exact router is "D-Link Model # DI-524" and if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

Thx :)

The router would have to be reset if you wanted to get around it. I havn't ever used a d-link, but I have a linksys and it has a reset button on it to reset the connection. I don't believe it resets the settings. If this does not work or you want to keep the settings I would reccomend talking to your parents about it and tell what your brother did. 8)

Is there anyway to get into the program controlling the router? I'm pretty sure that all the information concerning the preferences are reinitialized once it is on again from my older borther's computer, and I won't be able to play :(

Oh well, if none of these ideas work, I'll just ask my parents on Wednesday of next week..........lol, I have finals until then, and I guess I will just have to get my rs time during study hall at school.

Thx for all the suggestions, and I hope to see some of you on rs :)

Generally router programs are provided by your ISP, and thus are provided, generally, by big computing names. These computing names (like yahoo), are smart and generally set it so only the computer admin can access the settings. Sorry, but in simple terms there is no way around this.

Be a **** about it. When the computer starts hit f8, and go in on safe mode. Log in as the administrator(no password), and allow it.

I wish there was a way to get past the password that comes up when you press f8.

Can't you control the setting thrugh the web browser? I think you need to type in 192.168.2.1

Then you can manage what is safe and what is not. I not sure...but u can try it!
