Is there somebody (fictional or real) that you aspire to be like? A role model? Someone that has an attitude that you admire? Well do you have a hero?
Mine is, even thought he is fictional, Batman. All that he does come from his Will Power. He is the living proof that Mental is by far stronger than anything else. His sense of justice. He doesn't kill because it's too hard to cross the line. He doesn't kill because it's too easy. He dreams of killing criminals that murders innocents BUT he knows that if he ever «Cross that line», he'll always find someone much worse and he'll always have to kill them. Plus, he thinks ANYBODY deserves a trial in court. For him, there is no such thing as «Cleaning the world from one scumbag». And hell, he is always willing to put his own life in danger to save somebody (no matter who) in a bad situation. He doesn't want to be thanked. He is not crusading for justice to be loved or admired. He is *not* a hero. He is what the city expects him to be. Finally, what I admire the most is that he takes on everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. His parents were shot to death in front of him when he was 8 years old. God knows how many of his wives/girlfriends died in his arms. His adoptive son was massacred and killed. Same goes with most of the people around him. And besides Alfred, he is alone. He has nobody to cheer him up. He is one of the richest man in the world, yet he has nothing. AND YET, I have never seen him crying or whining about any of this. Yes he is still wounded by his parents murder, BUT he NEVER whine. He sucks it up, take on everything and bounce back stronger than ever. ****, this guy is only a human. And I would like to point out something fascinating about the Batman/Bruce Wayne alter ego. It's not Bruce Wayne that is secretly Batman. It is Batman that is Bruce Wayne. The rich playboy is only a cover, that is not the real side of his personality. Because inside of himself, Bruce exists no longer and he became Batman the day his parents were killed.
All of this, makes him to me, the greatest character ever created. Not only that, but also a role model I do aspire to be like. I use the philosophy of Will is stronger than everything and I do take on everything without whinning. And I do have a Messiah Complex. Lawl. Yes, anytime I would put my own life in danger to save somebody. I can relate to this guy. He is definately my hero and I totally aspire to be like him.
Do you have a Hero? If you do, who is he?
