I was reading through a topic that was locked and Shane said that the reason for that was due to "No Discussional Value".
However, I'm a strong advocate for topics that have no discussional value. Sometimes simply talking about nothing can be the most meaningful conversation you can have. If you allow a pointless topic to run free, then you could eventually start talking about anything. So, in essence, nothing can become potentially everything.
Now, I'm not saying SPAM is oh so lovely, but I'm saying that maybe something with "no discussional value" could, perhaps, have all the value in the world.
If people just began talking, but didn't have anything to talk about, naturally they would begin to talk about something that has to do with themselves. This is mainly due to the fact that in any situation you are in, you are in. Therefore, you have more experience with yourself than everything else, if you really think about it. So if people just began talking, and went on to the topic of themselves, you could, in theory, learn a lot about that person.
So maybe, If you really think about, something with "no discussional value" may not be all that bad. Maybe value isn't what every topic is meant for. Maybe some topics exist just to exist. To be an open source to friends, from friends, for friends.
So after all that, I thought to myself, "Maybe there should be a thread with no set topic. Maybe that thread could just be a place to talk. About nothing."
So here it is, a topic without a topic.
Just talk, about anything (within the rules of the forums).
If it's a serious or meaningful issue then feel free to create your own thread about it.
But as for this thread, it's only purpose is to supply a means to nothing at all.
Basically...it's a thread created so you can say things with "no discussional value".
Maybe you just love the color blue, then post here saying "I like the color blue". Then, if you want to reply to another post, simply say "Dude, the color blue is pretty crackin." Then, if it continues, "Man, I was at the park and this sweet blue car went by, who has a car?"
"I have a car, it's a red chevy"
"Pssh! Who needs cars when you can bike!"
"lol, i walk my dog."
"Ew, dogs are gross. I like cats WAY more"
....and so on and so forth.
See? This topic has no topic, therefore it has EVERY TOPIC!
So please, feel free to just...post!
(please don't lock this Shane...please? Give it time to grow, I want to see how people react. If it gets out of hand then you can lock it if you wish.)
