There are millions of RuneScape players so it would make sense that there are thousands of RuneScape clans.

They're allowed to advertise in Recruitment which is in it's own forum in it's own category... so it should be avoidable, and not really effect you. :S
No need to discuss whether you think all the clan topics posted are by the same person or not.
