This is Canadian obviously.

One comment that was made:
Quote:
Canadians complain, complain, and complain. But they don't really take action when they are being screwed over by companies. Plainly, they're a bunch of cowards. Good for Bell and Telus!

Thats true I guess. The Industry Minister came in to give a word of his own. :P

I have to wonder what goes through their minds when they decide to start doing that. See, if i was heading it up. Doing something like that would be a terrible idea and I'd expect to lose a ton of customers..what the hell do they think is going to happen?

Perhaps they believe the whole Canadians are push overs, time will tell i suppose.

Well I know one thing for sure, seeing as I am with Bell. If they ever try to put those new charges on me. I'll just bring up breach of contract and tell them I want out of it. Which Im kinda hoping for. Bell has this messed up thing where in order for me to cancel the contract I have to pay $20 every remaining month in the contract to get out, so about $260 or $240. So I say bring it on.

We cannot change the nature of companies and expect them to stop. We also cannot expect the government to step in, it's not their place to tell a company what they can and can't do.

The only thing users of these companies can do is boycott them. I can say I do not recieve text messages from anyone that I know, I don't send any as well. I can say this would be mega annoying. The only way I can see of getting out of this is to cancel our phone plans. Rogers will be doing it as well...

Maybe we need another ruinediPhone.com petition :P That worked to a degree.
