I'd say the guys nothing short of an idiot. Took him long enough to learn how to read didn't it?

I get you might be humiliated but get private lessons, start to learn it's better than going through life dodging this stuff and you'll wind up 10X more humiliated if people find out anyway. He waited 40+ years to get help, my god.
