http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7241470.stm http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080212/wl_ ... mbers_dc_4 There was another one where Japan had to scramble fighters because Russian was flying over "disputed" territory inhabited by Japanese citizens.
Am I the only one scared ******* over where this all is going? Russian bombers don't just "accidentally" fly over a US Navy battlegroup. It is called threat response time - something you need to know if you are planning on attacking people, and want to figure out how fast they can defend themselves. More and more Putin has been going hardliner acting like he can resurrect the "glory days" of the Russian empire, going into the old rhetoric of USSR > USA. What scares me is that even though Putin is leaving office, what he has done sets the tone for the next person coming in to be a new, pro-attack pro-aggression leader. In the modern circus of international politiks, a determined combative czar wouldn't need to attack us directly, all they would need to do is sell a few nukes out the back door to terrorist groups, who would be more than happy to use them on the western infidel devils. Sum Of All Fears anyone? The whole tone over there is highly disturbing. Thoughts?
