Thankfully I have gotten back into runescape after my 4 or 5 months of boredom and depression. When I wasn't playing runescape I was playing stepmania(DDR on a keyboard). When I was playing it my wrists started to hurt so I asked my mom what was happening. She says that I am starting to get carpal tunnel in my right hand. My hand is starting to feel like it would when you just wake up. Any suggestions?

Do more excersize, go out more. Try to spend less time on the pc, take regular breaks.

The usual stuff.

Right on.

But that's what we should do on a normal, no?

It could just be overworked, or something...
Try to avoid doing things with that arm.

You can still do what you want to do while at the same time preventing carpal tunnel. If you take breaks every 30 minutes or so and just go out and relax or just stop what you're doing, you greatly minimise the risk of fully developing it.

I know how it feels, I hjave carpal tunnel. I didn't watch what I was doing, and I could've not fully developed it, but I did.

What you need to do is find a sport that you use your hands with mostly. Ex: Football, Basketball, Baseball. Then just play that at least once every day for 30 minutes.

You could also, do some TKD Forms they really help, and arent very hard to learn and they require both leg and hand/arm movement.

I actually heard about this from a chiropractor.
There is a small problem some people have called Tennis Elbow. It's called tennis elbow, obviously because it happens to people who play tennis. The reason is that when you hit the tennis ball with your racket, the force of the shock travels through your forearm, and gets stopped at your elbow, because of the right-angle your elbow creates with your upper arm, or bicep, and your forearm. This can create tension or pain in your elbow. Now, some doctors are considering called it "Typing Elbow," because the same thing happens when you type. For example, when you hit a key on your keyboard, it has the same effect as hitting a tennis ball, because when you press down the key, the tip of your finger actually hits the maximum depth that the key can travel to, in order to make the character appear on the screen. This sends a much smaller shock to the end of your elbow, but for people who type 120 words per minute, or have those keyboards that have sticky, cube-like keys, it will start to add up. In your case, I would say that when playing DDR, I know for a fact that it is a very fast-paced game, if you play it as much as someone would play, for example, World of Warcraft, Runescape etc., it would definitely have a large effect on your elbow.
Hope it gets better! - Saxazax
