Standing up on airplane trips?

Back when I was on vacation visiting my cousins, they told me that someday you'll be able to stand up while riding airplanes. How will that be possible? I'm imagining it to look like those stand up rollercoasters? Has anyone else heardthe rumors before?

I can't imagine many people who'd want to stand up for a 6 hour+ flight. I wouldn't even want to stand up for a flight that was only an hour or two.

You already can i think, on some flights. I can't imagine it's very safe though.

Then I assume flights would take about 20 seconds, or how long a subway takes to get from one stop to another.

well you can already stand up when youre in mid flight if you want to, same with electronics, mid flight only. not too sure what you meant by that though o.o

I think thats where it might only take place, myself I can stand for 2 hours straight.

There are planes where you can stand up mid-flight. Obviously things like turbulence, and take off and landing, you have to be seated, but you can walk around as if it were just any old room which happens to be 30000 feet in the air.

I really don't think prople would be willing to stand up for flights.... unless you could buy a ticket to Europe for about $50 as a seatless person. Maybe this will open up air travel to the poor and the lower middle class?

I think what she means is that you'll be seated up in something atacked to the roof, and if you would have to you could hold your feet up or something, but that is what she means, I think.

This would sound pretty cool, to me.
