It's not a two-week old thread, so I can bump it and answer the question without getting yelled at.
Yes, you can. Xfire is an extremely useful tool for gamers, it provides a very quick launch for your favorite games, including MMORPGs, strategy games, shooters and even MAME32, allows you to take screenshots in game and post them in your profile (there's a limited screenshot capacity though), download patches to your games, communicate with your friends and a lot of other features.
To Dave: You can turn off the sounds.
To Creepy: It's not crap. You didn't even give a reason why you don't like it.
Global note: NEVER add people that you know that they are noobs. I've added one and as a result he was bugging me on "GunZ: The Duel" for a whole hour and I couldn't even reply because it doesn't support in-game for that game.
Thousand and one noobs add you.
The chat system is pathetic
It's annoying to use (see the above and expand on it)
looks ugly
like a cheap crap version of AIM - which is crap in itself
i don't use any of the games it's 'compatible' with so there for it is crap
I don't say these things for no reason, if i say somethings crap i have reasons to back it up it's an opinion, my opinion that im intitled to.
