It seems that a new study about this whole global warming thing concludes that the major green house gas (a gas that traps heat) is actually water vapour. Only 3% of it is made of the carbon gasses from fuel emissions. Added to this is the tilt and posisition of the earth relative to the sun, and there you have global warming. So, instead of getting rid of cars and industry, let's just all get along and get rid of all that pesky water.

I read somewhere that the earths quantity of water never goes down it just is always moving. So if theres a flood somewhere theres a drought probably somewhere else. The earths quantity of water will never change it said, so lets ship the water to mars and live there.

i think what they are actually saying is that the green house gases and many other types of pollution are getting into and mixing with water vapor, hence why we get acid rain etc. If its in water vapor, when high altitude and low altitude clouds are formed, sunlight reflecting from earth is trapped because of those gases mixed with the water. Its more dense basically, the sunlight cannot escape, therefore heat builds up.

The gases main effect is damage on eviroment, and its mixing with water vapor.
