we dont tend to do more then what we need to because he just makes us coppy out of text books wich id really relly crap and we get ***** off so any decent games for a group to play?

When I get bored in my math, I put programs on the school's graphing calculators. The quadratic formula one I made is rather useful. You just give it A,B, and C, and it solves it for you

. In algebra 2, you need the quadratic formula alot.
I don't have any ideas for games though. I usually pay attention in class because math is definately the most important subject of all of them.

Well at school (8th grade) I usually tap my pencil in a beat with my wrist involved. I have made some cool beats but then again you'll attract attention. My teachers don't really care, Their cool.

Try writing a poem, hell atleast your other English teach won't mind.
Although the responsible thing to say is 'Learn the maths, it's important.', can I suggest good old Naughts and Crosses? Or how about the classic - Hangman.

Play consequences!

All you need is a sheet of paper, play as follows:

- Player writes male name on paper, folds it over
- Next Player writes female name at the new top of the page, folds again
- Next Player writes a location, folds and passes
- Next comes what they were doing
- He said
- She said

At no point must you allow anyone else to see what is written, until the end, when the paper is unfolded, and the full dialouge is revealed, with some very dodgy results

Hangman gets very boring very fast. Naughts and crosses is good if you organise a kind of mini-tournament on the table. I have had a detention for playing it in the past with a few people, even though all the people on my table were a year or more ahead of everyone else in terms of the work.

gost, why don't you *try* a day of learning Maths?

It is *VERY* important in your life.

One day, you'll be buying a hotdog, for example, and he says "That'll be $1.99" You hand him one dollar, and three quarters. He needs 24 cents more. You hav no other change, so you hand him a dollar bill. He gives you ___ cents back. Fill in the ___ when you're done with that day of learning a very important skill in your life.

If you continue to play games in Maths, soon you'll start getting detentions/I.S.S./O.S.S. .

Seriously, if your teacher is just sitting around and not actually teaching then you should tell someone. So you can get a teacher in to teach you. Learning is a two-way process on the most part, you have to be willing learn and someone has to be willing to teach you. If you aren't willing to learn then you aren't going to achieve much. Face the facts that you are going to have to learn maths to get somewhere unless you are going into one of the few professions that doesn't require any mathematical skills on your behalf...
