It would also hit Canada.
Use a smaller bomb Iran.

No chance in hell. The Earth is a 6 sextillion-tonne ball of iron and aluminium. You'd need a trillion tonnes of antimatter to blow just a small fragment off it.

Basically, though, bib, no, you'd probably be dead. Possibly not from the blast itself, but the fallout and nuclear cloud would kill you, or at the very least give you cancer and make you infertile.

You know, if a nuke ever hit Washington DC. The smartest thing to do would be to run toward the blast. It's not worth going through life like that.

China will never detonate any nukes on the US. The current president, Hu Jintao, is too much of a wuss to do it. The biggest danger right now is Bush doing something impulsive and bomb Iran or N. Korea.
