London Has the Olympics!

Yes london have been awarded the olympic games in 2012, im not that bothered really, despite the fact im English, i just hope they won't embarass thereselves with poor preperation or planning, and im also glad the French didn't get it, especially after the rather slandering comments of the unhonorable Jaque Chirac.

lol saw that while state of origin was on..couldnt care less when it flashed up on the screen but now that the game is over i can concentrate lol. thats pretty cool but i was kind of hoping for paris myself just cos it seems a little more exoitic after china but hey it will still be awesome..provided they pull it off

Not Paris, there camp has descended into slandering there oppenents rather than concentrating on there own campaign and it cost them big, ive been to Paris anyway its not as romantic as you think, the main problem is it's full of French people :evil:

I was personally hoping for NY to get it... but it got booted like the 2nd round... i woulda been in/out of college by then so i woulda been able to go if it was in New York... o well i guess ill save up and fly to london

same reason for china. they are building a new arena for the games so early planning and pika nice to see you back.

2010 Games are in my country and in my province! BC! I just hope everything goes well...

And same with the 2012 Games.

yeah when it's in china it's gonna be big.i just hope they don't screw up and be prepared for heavy traffic and have enough law enforcment

Well im sure london will be prepared. When the olympics were in Athens, the latest time

there was lots of concern that they couldnt do it, that it would affect their economy.. But in the end they pulled it off

and also a guy lost his race because some crazed scottish guy decided to run him into the crowd and how the chinese male diving team lost cuz one of them choked. ahhhh good times

meh theyll get over it..i mean they have to because if they didnt they wouldnt have any time left to think about themselves some more. now that i think about it im actually glad its in england cos then maybe we could go! and i could see my best mate there

ahh im dreaming already! but thats a while away yet..i reckon china is going to be really good. all organized and everything..at least i hope it will be or nothing will run smoothly
