Uh...Can someone tell my why just because you're old means you can't recieve gifts anymore?

For everyone else I know and myself its just a natural progression... you don't get as much when you get older. Partly because as I said; you have your own money, and when you want bigger things you have the luxury of being able to go out and buy them when you want them and not having to wait around for Christmas or Birthdays so your parents can buy them for you. You know.. Independence. You still recieve gifts obviously, I never said you stopped getting things full stop, you just don't get "big" presents. It's all stuff like socks, aftershave and books.

Your parents have more money than sense if they keep throwing TVs, games consoles and computers at you when you're older.

I would have to disagree, it's because of my parent's great sense, that they can, as you say, "keep throwing TVs, game consoles, and computers at" me "when" I'm "older." Although that isn't how I look at it, that's how I would present it to you.
If you're thinking that, well this isn't how it's normally done or isn't like most families, then yes, I would be able to agree with you on that, but like everything else in this world, there is a bell curve, some hit high on the bell curve and some hit low, and the majority fall into the middle. Just like with this community, I imagine some hit high, and some hit low, and the majority of the users families fall into the middle.

And then once that's all said and done, you have to take into consideration different variables. It's a lot like math. Though I don't wish to talk about my life in detail, I can guarantee you that my life hasn't been like the majority, there are many variables you have to take into consideration. Who knows, perhaps I haven't received anything for the past 5 years? Not saying that that's true but there are a lot of things that are needed to make such a final and harsh conclusion such as, "Your parents have more money than sense if they keep throwing TVs, games consoles and computers at you when you're older."

Pherhaps I should have been more clear, I don't class "18-19" as "older". I mean if you're 25 and mummy and daddy are still buying you a flat screen TV every year its a bit stupid. Regardless of personal circumstances.

No need to be overtly defensive either. It's not a personal attack, merely a statement.

My intent was to create an elaborate explanation for easy understanding; there was no intent to present a defence besides the one that facts would create own their own.

I'm certainly not telling you which highschool I go to, or which mall I frequent.

Ehh, sick joke there.
