Religulous with Bill Maher

I just watched the movie Religulous with Bill Maher last night. Has anybody else seen this movie. I thought it was very good and would recommend it to anybody, whethere you are religous or not.

The basic premise of the movie according to Bill Maher is not to promote atheism, but to bring doubt upon religion and "God". He travels around the world discussing and instilling doubt in different religions.

Also, the tile "Religulous" come from combining the word Religion and the word Rediculous.

My favourite part was when he completely rips through Francis Collins. I hate that guy because people hold him up as a way of believing modern science and religion are completely compatible. And in that film he said things he didn't sound at all like he truly believed. I doubt Frances Collins is really a believer at all. He just wants to challenge the stereotype of the majority of scientists being secular.

I think Bill Maher is a ****. There's no point of going around questioning people's beliefs, especially on religion. He knows that religion doesn't have any real answers, so he makes himself look smart while making everyone else look like an idiot. The guy is just an all around ******* who couldn't get a job for 10 years so decided to make a ******* movie making himself look like a god. **** him.

There is a point. He mentions that he doesn't think enough non-believers stand up for their beliefs and that religion and politics are mixed way to much. He is trying to show these people how hypocritical and stupid they are.

He is instilling the doubt and flaws of religion. You think that is bad?? Cause that is the exact same thing as when religous people go on missions and instill their religion on people and try and convert them.

For example, the part where he interviews the Senator from the South,(can't remember what state, think it was Arkansas or Alabama). He shows how stupid the guy was being faithful and thats it. The senator was a complete ******* and even said you dont have to be smart to be a senator.

By the way he does have a job, he has a TV show on HBO :!:

I'll put this on my "to watch" list, watching people bash hypocrites and people with silly fairy tale gods is always fun.
