Haha, Brandy. You remind me of my uncle who thinks that vodka is a good cure for sore throats.

Orange juice is good.

I normally get this stuff called 'Vegetable Cough Remover' from the health food shop. It works really well. But it only works with phlegmmy coughs.

Actually...

If you feel the need to take extra vitamin C please read #13. Try to avoid ALL juices, including organic juices or ones with no sugar added; Gatorade type sports drinks also need to be avoided. If you must have a juice use diluted organic apple juice; do NOT use orange juice as it is the most allergic fruit.

Also, hot chocolates aren't good either. Something my parents have always told me to avoid if I have a cold, because...

Those quotes are from this article at http://www.mercola.com.
My Dad is a really health conscious person, he gets their newsletter every week.

That stuff is revolting, don't bother with it.

You can try the whole tea thing. But for me I didn't like tea so my parents made me gargle salt water. Can't remember if it worked but it was god awful disgusting, teas my choice now.

I just drink cold water and eat ice cream/icypoles. Load up on Vitamin C pills and also put slices of orange in the water, the Vitamin C soaks out into the water so its easier for your body to absorb and the acid from the fruit doesnt burn your throat. Also if I have a phlemy throat I lie upside down on a bed or chair with my head hanging off then sit up and all the phlem should cough up, you have to stay there for a while though. Nasal Spray works wonders aswell. Dimetapp kind (H).
