Solve this brainteaser

Three men went to a motel.

The man behind the desk said the room is $30, so each man put up $10 and went to the room.

A little while later the man behind the desk realized the room was only $25, so he sent the bellhop back to the 3 guys room with $5.

On the way to the room the bellhop couldn't figure out how to split the $5 between the 3 men, so he just gave each one of them $1 and he kept the other $2.

This meant that the 3 men paid $9 for the room for a total of $27.

Add the $2 that the bellhop kept = $29.

WHERE'S THE OTHER DOLLAR????????

Clever use of phrasing to be honest. The answer is nowhere as there's no money missing. I wont give the full answer though incase others want to try

Lol..or am i completly wrong here? I figured all that text was a load of crap and once you cut through it and ignored what it was telling you, did the working out for yourself..you realize hes got it and there sums are wrong. o.0

So basically they end up paying 28$ for the room technically.

So I think there's a miswording in the problem here.... If not, correct me.

I have one for you

A man, gets up at the normal time everyday for work,
He gets ready for work goes out his flat/ apartment door
He then walks down the hall to the lift/ elevator
Pushes the button to go down and then goes out the door
Later, when he comes back instead of going in the lift/ elevator he takes the stairs?......Why? :wink:
