Counter Strike Source

Hey, you can see on my list of games i'm playing counter strike source, but for some reason it has MAYJOR lagg. I looked up the system requirments and i have all of them even more that the requirments. And i have high speed dsl
wich usually runs at 600kpbs wich is more than enougth to play counterstrike without lagg. I've already upgraded my computer for around 250$ and i'm not planning to upgrade it even more.

Anyone who has any suggestions to this please post here.

look for a server with a low latency
so, sort ascend on latency

Do you have other windows open while playing?

That, for some reason is a lot of people's problems. :roll:

I usaually play on servers with a latency of 24 and under, and no i dont have any winows open excpet for cs:source

Sometimes the server you go into can have a low latency but your latency when youre in the game is really high. As you probably already know, high latency = lag. Try to go into servers closest to where you live and that can reduce lag. Also if you have another computer running off your internet connection through a router or the like that can also increase latency. Try shutting that computer down if thats the case. Close all open programs while youre playing as well. Thats pretty much all I can think of that could be causing it. Otherwise it could just be a server problem. Sometimes when a server is close to crashing you get unbelieveable amounts of lag.

so it works, and without any lagg.
