The Bank of RuneScape is launching its new Bank PIN system today. Customers may ask for a 4-digit security number to be set on their bank accounts. If they do, they will be required to enter this number before they can remove items from their banks (but they shouldn't have to enter it more than once in each login session). This is intended to provide a little extra protection for players' items if their RuneScape accounts get stolen.

Please note, this feature is available to free and member accounts.

Customers interested in the Bank PIN system must read the Bank PIN FAQ page before trying to set a PIN.

Please remember:

* Once you have requested a PIN on your bank account, you will have to wait 7 days before it becomes active. This delay is intended to protect players from having PINs put on their accounts by other people.
* If you forget your PIN, you will have to wait a few days before you can take anything out of your bank. Customer Support will not be able to tell you the number.
* You should NEVER tell ANYONE your PIN. Our staff will NEVER ask you to say your PIN in the game, nor will we ever require you to e-mail it to us, nor enter it on any website form. Anyone trying to make you do these things is a scammer!

Hmm, not bad... At least now my paranoia may quiet down a bit. :P And I won't forget it, that's for sure...

THen again, it may be a bit of a bother. I suppose I'll try it out and see what happens.

From all that I ever read, most people get their accounts "hijacked" by friends or because they told someone their password....hmmmm..doesn't sound like this will help that situation. In addition consider this: If the other high percentage culprit is key loggers, wont a key logger record you inputting your PIN? Just thought I would bring these up for review 8)

Best. Update. Ever.

Account sharers= they will backstab ea other by putting a PIN rofl.

Pass scammers="Give me your pass AND pin and ill make you members" Ok now that will sound REALLY suspicious. Why the hell would they need to be able to take items from the bank to make sumone members huh? They got OWNED by the update.

New items all above rune? Interesting but the whip is still better. Cant wait to see people buy the new items for over 1m when the whip is greatly superior to the new items.

The pin numbers changing order= Anti-keylog power.

Thats all i had to say :)

How's a keylogger supposed to work if ya don't use a keyboard? ;)

Some can detect clicks. So they can see how many times you clicked thus finding out what number it is. Haven;t tried the pin yet so it may be diffrent from that.

Dude, the numbers change place = anti-keylog power.
