30th August 2005 - Garden Of Tranquility

This is a copy of a message that has recently been circulating around the inns of Varrock:

"Queen of Varrock seeks experienced gardener to help construct a garden of peace and serenity as surprise for husband. Only serious Farmers need apply. Peasants welcome (although not that welcome). Tools not supplied. Please note: under no circumstances are the contents of this message to be disclosed to Rollie um, one means King Roald."

Speak to Queen Ellamaria in the eastern grounds of Varrock palace to discuss her plans for a Garden of Tranquillity, and put your newly-trained Farming skills to the test.

Other Changes

Players who have completed the Family Crest quest will now be able to change their reward gauntlets. Just speak to Jonathon in the Jolly Boar Inn, Caleb in Catherby or Avan in Al Kharid if you would like them to re-enchant your gauntlets for you. They will, unfortunately, charge you for this service.

Kolodion the mage has decided that adventurers may henceforth wear whatever armour and weapons they like within his Mage Arena. However, he would like to remind you he only permits magical combat in the Arena, not melee or ranged attacks.

But you can't fight with melee or range in there. I feel some major rants coming on. Now the Mage Arena is safe, if you're running from a non-mage pker you can run in there and he cant hurt you :o

Lots of rants will contribute to RSBAND Update. :) More of Shane's and Pika's views on some people rants.

For those that would rather be disapointed/annoyed by doing this quest yourself i suggest you skip this message anyone else heres my view:

They said this quest was medium length. They lied.

Not ONLY did i spend a good THREE hours doing this thing (alot of that time i might add was just standing in her dam garden WAITING for that white tree to grow because they couldn't POSSIBLY let me plant it and complete the quest could they?) but then when i get the reward i get 5K FARMING EXP. 5K FREAKING EXP? I WOULD EXPECT AT LEAST 10K FOR ALL OF THAT WORK. OH YES that's right i also got FIVE GAUM SEEDS!!! :O You could of made it a DECENT HERB AT LEAST YOU CHEAP, TIGHT, ROAH!!!!!!

Now i rmemeber why i hate quests, another newb update, newb reward and absolutly patheticly useless for anyone else. What the hell do i want with gaum seeds i have 60+ herblore for god sakes. I guess i'll go get some frogs masks instead. :o

Yeh, being able to change the gaulets is the best part of the update. Can you tell us how much you had to pay to change them?
