25th August 2005 - Hiscores increase to 1 Million

You needed like 57 strength to be in the highscores yesterday, when it was only top 500,000

I think it's a pretty good update for the somewhat smaller people. But there's nothing in it for me.

I think its an alright update. Like southrend said, the same applies to me that it does not effect me at all. It just lets us all know that Runescpae is still growing a lot. Hopefully that will lead to these forums getting bigger.

They are still adding people to database. You can look for where the highscore stops at a certain skill and then go a 100 further and check again. The places will be all filled up :shock:

I like the update, there's nothing at all wrong with it, so it's 100% right! RunescapeBits&Bytes will get bigger. Eventually it will get more guides and 'bits'. ^^

Thats true but still it is good to know that you are on the overall highscores, even if you are 800,000th.

Anyways this doesn't matter much to me, my skills were already on it... bleh, actually I'd rather this update didn't happen, the high score list isn't as exclusive anymore

I think they should make the highscores lower, like 300,000 or something so only the players that have been playing fairly long are there, not the ones who play for a few hours and are already on it.

bleh i've been playing since you could have 30 strength and be on the list....but it's not like that anymore...it's retarded when you have to get 99 strength just to get rank 500,000.....

Having reconsidered it..being ranked in the top 5k overall out of a MILLION is a hell of a lot better than the top 500k
