Someone has level 84 construction. Happened less than 5 hours after the update I think. It's a race to be the best, be famous in a game, meh, I could care less about fame in a simple MMORPG. It just gets in the way, when you post in the forum people would say 'omg ur number 1 omg!!!11@!!' or 'k add me in game lets b friends' or congratulations galore. Imagine selling/buying in Falador World 2. Everyone would trade you just to take a screenshot. People would swarm you and say 'free stuff pls!11' or 'add me i have something 2 tell u!!!@@' or just spam. If you had your Private Chat on for more than 30 seconds the PM spam would be so bad it would be like one of your friends clicking the Private Chat button rapidly for about 2 minutes straight. Imagine half or more of Runescape PMing you all at once, saying pointless things. Also, if you wanted to try to get an account on RSbandB or RuneHQ or some other Runescape forum, they might say 'Come back with your real name and real Runescape name'. And even if you did get in to one, all your posts there would be spammed.

I don't want fame. Fortune would be nice in Runescape, but difinitley not fame.

A problem with it being a money skill is that people are greedy and charging obscene amounts for building materials. Planks are 100 gp and about 5 seconds of work each, but people are charging over 500 for them, and others are actually buying them. It's just rediculous.

I could care about Fame in the whole game. I'm known in world 42 because of just hanging out with people around. Thats the only fame I care about.

I only have 34, but I haven't been working that hard, so I guess it figures. Right now I'm gathering some hardwoods, and I expect to upgrade my furniture and add a quest hall before too long.

Why 100gp per planks or higher? Why 650 per Cloth? How hard is it to make with your crafting,fletching,woodcutting skill

I spent a considerable portion of last night suggesting ways to justify lowering the cost of planks. I say if you want to show off your fancy mansion you should use luxury materials like marble and gold leaf, but you shouldn't have to spend a fortune just to train a skill. There needs to be an alternative.

I am not sure if they can or not. But since some of the things in the house would be members only i am guessing its not for f2p. Also you have to be on a p2p server to access the poh so you couldnt see your friends houses unless you were p2p. IT says you can plant a yew tree, is this a tree you can chop or is it just decoration? Or is it like garden patches where you lose it after you chop it once? im not p2p so i cant figure this out on my own :roll:
