19th September 2005 - Massive minigame - Fight Pits

What I see for the future of the fight pits is that there will be a few more. Around maybe 3 altogether, each with their own unique set of rules: 80- combat only, 81+ combat only, and free for all. Something like that.

Then there will be another booth in the waiting pen where players themselves set the specific rules by a series of votes. The rule setting that gets the highest vote becomes that rule for that game (gives the players something to do while waiting too).

I was origionally thinking this would be something they would do for Castle Wars - very similar to the duel arena menu screen. Enable / disable random events, set spawning time (time it takes before you spawn after you die), unarmed combat only, does flag carriers only walk, etc.

But yeah, if we let the players choose the rules themselves, then it can allow equality, because I'm sure that there are many more lower-level players then high levels who have an equal say in the rule selections.

Otherwise, it's cool and challenging! I got the sword already and it rocks.

Remember everyone. Winning the fight pits is not the only way to get tokkul. Killing the NPCs or selling stuff to them like adamantite ore and runite ore is also an effective way. Slower, but way more guarenteed.
