OK, I know this might not be popular.. but I actually enjoy the new combat release!! I never logged onto the beta to try it out until the final day just to do the tutorial. I found it a little confusing at first, but figured this is the way the game is headed so I had to get used to it. After the first day of trying things out, I really like it. I wasn't sure about prayer not fully protecting me at first, but the more I thought about it, the more I understand and like the concept. Isn't it more fun to actually take a risk fighting monsters, rather than prayer stopping any damage occurring?
In all honesty, I think this type of update was long overdue. Sure, it's going to take a little while to get used to the new way of doing things, but ultimately, it makes the game more interactive and fun to play.
Congratulations Jagex... although there was a lot of negativity about the EoC, I feel you have done a good job with it. I am looking forward to my new Slayer tasks and trying out different styles and abilities... It's made the game fresh and new again.
