Okay I was woodcutting today and this guy asks me if I'm a bot. Since I have no clue what he's saying I ask him what he means. Apparently he's talking about some sort of, well its not a macro I don't think, but a program or something (I am so not a computer person. At least not a programmer). Basically it puts your character on auto so you can walk away from the computer while your character keeps doing what you've told it to do. Pretty much continuously. He said you could stick your character on "auto" all night and pick up a few levels of like woodcutting or whatever overnight. I'm wondering if there is such a thing. I mean it'd be cool to be able to do that but I don't know if you can. Anyway can someone tell me if he's pulling my chain or not. Thanks.

no it's called autoing and if you get caught you lose your acc. wanna take the chance?

They existed mostly for Ruenscape Classic....but people were banned for using them. Don't use them. Ever.

lol...its called autoing and its like a program you can use in conjunction with rune and it basically keep ur char logged in and active so you dont have to do it yourself. however they are illegal and if u get caught using one then you WILL be banned...and thats never good. dont worry bout it tho hes probs just saying that cos youve been something for a long time...eg. wc...that happens to me alot when im mining cos alot of the time i dont talk to randoms in public chat while im doing it so they accuse me of autoing. just as long as ur not doing it ur sweet

Well if you talked to him, obviously your not a bot. I dont think their programmed to talk back to someone when someone talks to them.. or are they?

Lol they could, because there are also macros that will let you type "Selling coal 150gp each" about 5 times a second

also remember most auto programs ask for your username and password, i guess to steal your account.. If not that, its probably a keylogger. Lots of people can easily disguise a program as a auto program.. But yeah, none the less, it takes the fun out of the game, its cheating, its lame, and i wouldnt lower yourself down to that level.. So be safe, have fun, and play rs the right way

When I'm ignoring people they always say I am a macro-user and they want to report me, can they really get my account banned if I'm not macroing?

In rsc, i downloaded a bot once and then it said "click here to do what you want it to do" and then i clickewd and my char started walking in like...every direction...it was WIERD...then a day later i got hacked and lost my rune dagger lol...DONT DO IT, tRUST ME! iT"S NOT WORTH IT. Did any of you play rs when the phat dupe event happened, i know a guy who had over 30million party hats he got banned though...3000 people got banned actually...he being one of them. Yeah....good times...thats what helped me buy my phat for only 2.1 mill!!! i also bought 2 santas 20k each!!! i still have the santas, but i lost the phat due to hacking and then i bought back a new one for only 3.3 mill, hehehe, i over paid for the purp phat by 200k . Then i worked my way up, WOW< THIS IS LIKE A LIFE STORY! i'm going to end now...<program terminated>
