Post subject: I need music, but IE dies whenever sound effects should play
PostPosted: April 16th, 2005, 9:51 am
Ok, so with my standard browser, FireFox (all hail!), the music doesn't work.

With IE, whenever a sound effect should play, one of those Report Error boxes come up. However, I have never gotten a report back and it has been about 3 days.

Anyone have the slightest idea what the problem could be?

Oh, and by the way, this is my first time playing RS in, like, 3 months...

I have that problem also.
I don't know there is a way to make it work.

I really don't care if I have to use IE, it's just that IE won't work!

Download the official client..
Go to Runescape.com > Scroll down to extra fule > and download the client
Also, check if your tool setting in Runescape has music on..
And make sure you are in high detail..
Oh, and your speaker..

Perhaps Reboot your computer :P

The reason is that the applet Runescape runs on is not coded to properly meet standards. Sorry.
