what would you think of this?

the next skill could be shop running? you get your own shop and buy stock and then sell on in a attempt to make a profit and for leveling you could say at lvl 1 buy and sell bronze daggers and at 99 phats and such wat you think? its a way to make money after the horror updates.... post more idea if you have them....

The whole idea of Player Owned Shops is completely gone now with the release of the Grand Exchange. I believe Jagex had announced Player Owned Shops as an addition to Construction, but there just isn't a use for it anymore.

Exactly except it ruined alot of things that player owned shops might not have.

That's a cool idea, but I wouldn't want that to be a whole skill. I think it would be a great addition to Player-Owned-Houses instead. But, with the Grand Exchange being used today, I think it would be hard to run a shop like that.

I think that that's a very good idea but not as a skill as a add on for P.O.H. but there is no point now that we have the GE

Even if we didn't get the GE, how would it be implemented? I know how it would work, but it is way too difficult. Consider going to the POH/POS portal. You go there and it asks what your looking for. You type what you want and it will give you probably several shops. Now because of the GE, if the GE wasn't implemented, the items could be any price the player wanted. So most of those shops would be useless and not fair.

Bad idea. Just go with the GE.

I don't understand you idea at all. Who would buy this stock that you're trying to buy? Npcs or real players? I think this could work out as a boring minigame but for a skill it just wouldn't work. It would be so repetitive. Buy, sell, buy, lower prices, sell, buy, sell, raise prices, buy, sell, buy, sell etc. etc. etc.
I think it could work as a minigame if there was a screen saying what percentage of customers wanted what stock so you could raise & lower your prices accordingly. Also maybe you would have to serve the npc customers aswell. Maybe the goal for level 1 could be "get 50gp profit today" and the higher levels "sell 17 rune sets and sell 30,000,000gp worth of stock.
This could work but I think people would get bored quickly and this sort of game have been used alot on gaming sites.
