A noob is not a low combat!!!

Earlier today someone who was level 84 (dont worry, Paulo UK, I wont mention your name) told me I was a noob because I was 4 levels lower then him. I told him I was not a noob because I had been playing since the end of 2002. Which is true. He told me he had been playing 4.5 months and that I was a noob because of my combat.

Do you think a noob is the combat level or how long the person has been playing?

A noob is someone who hasn't got a clue about what they are buying or doing.

Yeah it's not combat lvl or time, simply how much you know, if you know **** all, you're a noob

If your comabt lvl 80, your obviously not a newb. I mean, look at woodequalsgp for example. He has awesome total level and he's only combat lvl 3!

Not quite exact. When someone acts stupid, i dont call him a noob ,i call him stupid or idiot,wich he is. A noob for me is someone begging for items instead of working and playing to get them.

i didnt say it was when someone is acting stupid... and begging for items instead of playing to get them is a way of acting.. :roll:

Noob is the wrong word to use in runescape. We should just say "Idiot".

Actually I take back what I said before, by definition low combat is a noob. Noob is taken from newb which stands for new beginner

but phoenix, what if someone has low combat and high skill total? or they know every little detail of the game but lost their main character? to me noob is the way someone acts
example 1: i was at a clan pk trip and a level 39 walks up to us and says "free stuff plx" -thats a noob
example 2: haha! anarchy owns bd dm me noob! (of course anarchy can own BD after a huge merge, and what does dming have to do with anything? lets just get on with teh castle wars game we're on the same team) "haha, the bd noob is scared of me!" - thats a noob.
i'm sure there are 100k other examples for noobs that happen each and every day. just thought i'd share a couple of mine from the last hour :wink:

Ok I didn't mean low combat, I meant low play time. Just taking the literal meaning, it's been tweaked over time to basicly define stupidity
