i was just browsing another rs forum and saw an article about swiftswitch it appears that jagex (after initally saying it was fine to use) have had a look at it and on the basis that it blocks out adverts (which gower says keeps the free game running) have decided it is illegal to use and anyone "detected" using it by their special program will be banned, however strider has said he is developing a new version that will contain adds and that jagex will allow so fear not, swiftswitch will live on.

Gah, I knew something was wrong, because the bottom part of Swift was cut off. I hope they get this sorted out so that we can use it again.

of course he's mad! those ads are what pays for f2p for the most part and if he has to get rid of f2p well....would any of you(who are members) have started playing runescape when you did if it was $5 a month to begin with?

runescape is mostly played by children and children aren't like to buy off the internet because they dont have credit cards so why are these adds so vital?????

It is actully played by 12-19 more is what i herd and some 12 year olds have credit cards and alot of 19 yrear olds do

yea the majority of that parameter fall into the category children.

those adds are so vital because without ads f2p=nonexistant, and that means andrew loses money because less people will decide they like the game and sign up for membership.
