the chaos elemental's bizarre crossword...

so i've been doing the crossword for the chaos elemental to try to get a hint at whatever the hidden update contained will be... by the way, its at the bottom of this months postbag. if you want to help, i suggest printing it out and writing stuff in.

i've completed most of the answers in the puzzle, but am currently missing answers 5 and 9.

highlight here to see the answers to the ones i have so far... if you can help thats cool, if you'd like to try to figure out what goodies are in store in the future, then keep this topic alive.

1: a large combat --> battle
2: myths, stories and fairy tales --> legends
3: explosive rodents --> chinchompas
4: guild for melee fighters --> warriors
5: the beings that think they rule this world. 2 words --> (haven't solved this... ends in an "s")
6: a colour like red --> crimson
7: the mage who wears the yin - yang amulet --> makeover
8: one o fthose things you all spend time working on --> skill (not 100% sure, but it fits)
9: a dastardly little chap in grey robes --> (haven't solved this... _ _ O _ _ _ R _ E)
10: ____ of the red aaxe --> rise
11: rock --> stone
12: land of the white knights --> asgarnia
13: mischevious little demons --> imps
14: melzar's homeleand --> crandor

the two i havent got yet colide at the 4th square of #5 and the 1st square of #9, so that might help

this im not to sure about... so we have to take the answers and change thier order? or change the order of the letters withing each answer? if anyone could clarify that'd be cool. im on runescape right now, and can be reached by pming me here, or on potatoreaper. thanks for sharing in my thirst for knowlege and testing ones own mind.

I was never really into crosswords, but when you finish it - I'll be looking to see if there's any hidden secret messages in there.

If that is glouphrie there, maybe that's a hint towards another gnome quest - or I might be thinking too laterally.

i found a post on the official forums with people trying got solve the actual anagrams, some of the answers they think relate to, the blood rune alter, summoning, a new quest involving glouphrie, and a new quest related to legends.

I really think the anagrams are just to keep everyone pacified. If they do contain some sort of insite into future updates it's probably not worth trying to solve them since by the time they are solved the projects will have been released, and even knowing of there existance will make some players angry if it is sent back to the drawing board.

And on the actual crossword it is 3,4. The/gods fits perfectly.

yeah, i looked at the topic on the officials as well. they've already solved a few of the anagrams... i haden't seen the ones posted in the last postbag, but i'll post the quick find of the topic on the officials so you can see what's going on where the smart people are =P
