Guide to training on giant spiders

Hey!

Well, in this guide I would just like to tell everyone were you can find these giant spiders and why they are so good. At around this level, many people find it hard to level up, but not anymore! These monsters auto attack you so you have no need to keep clicking and they also provide excelent experience for combat leve 80+.

Contents:
  1. Monster Information
  2. Preperation
  3. Getting There
  4. The Training
  5. Summary

Monster Information

Image
Name: Giant Spider
Combat Level: 50
Floor: Level 3
Overall Difficulty: Medium

Preperation

It is worth pointing out here that these monsters although are only level 50 are highly aggressive and powerfull, even with full rune etc. they will still hit 7's every now and again. Here is what I bring:

Now, as they hit 7's every now and then and sometimes hit other damage, it is important to bring some food with you, i would recomend a minimum of something that heals 10+. I use lobbies:

The last thing I need to say is that you should not leave your character alone when training on these (unless you have guthans), they do hit often and you could die. If you plan on afking, then wear something you will not miss if you loose.

Getting There

To get to the Stronghold of Security, firstly you need to make your way to barbarian village, the quickest way to get there is either to teleport to varrock or teleport to edgeville using a glory.
Once in barb, go down the hole in the middle of the mining place, it is shown as a dungeon on the map.

To get down to Level 3, you need to keep going down the ladders then using the portals to go to the trease room and then going down the ladders again. Keep doing this until you climb down a ladder onto a green level. Do not take the portal here as you are in the right place.

Now, start heading north, you should pass through 2 barriors on your way out of the room with the ladder and enter a room with giant spiders and ordinary spiders in it, you can stop here if you like but it is not the best place. For the best place keep heading north in that room and walk through the next 2 barriors. You should now be in a small sealed of section that is empty. Now, to get to the room with the giant spiders in it, you must pass through the 2 north-east portals and then the 2 portals going north firectly after that. If you have follows my instructions, you should now be standing in a medium size place filled with giant spiders.

The Training

Pretty easy from here, simply sit back relax and watch your character kill endless amounts of giant spiders. Just make sure you keep an eye on your heal!
After a while, they will stop attacking you, they will become afraid because you have killed so many, you must run away from them (Note: you must get them off your mini-map) and then run back and they will attack you again.
Very quick experience without you having to do alot of clicking, i certainly love it because you can do other things while playing runescape. Experience averages at about 62k per hour which isnt that bad.

Summary

I can't express to you how good these monsters are, I wouldnt have believed it myself if I hadn't of tried them. They really are excelent experience and are so so so easy to train on .

That pretty much finishes the guide, if you have anything to add or correct, please PM me here on draynor and I will look at it asap.

Sort of like training at bandits except you don't need such a high combat level.

I might try that one day.

I prefer training at Desert Bandits - I take Sara Legs and you have all the advantages of those spiders + NEVER having them stop attacking + I believe a bit more xp per hour.

You cant do anything else while playing rs, or else itll be against the rules. I suggest you take the part where it says you can do other things while playing runescape out.

No, you can. Anyways how are they going to know that you have messenger open talking to friends, and have a differen't window open browsing a different site? Though, you can't leave the computer for 30 minutes while your character remains logged in and getting XP, because that is unfair.

Ok. But I am scared of the way they have their scans of the game.

That makes it even better!

This is not clearly defined in the rules so I am getting a message from Jagex on this for you I will update this soon because I am curious.

And on topic. This works well! 2 days 2 combat levels allready! Helped me get dream mentor done. And it isn't really bug abuse because It's using the ingame feature to keep battling. I will see on the message soon.

Dear Lewent,

Thank you for your message.

This would not be a problem so long as you are still at your computer.

Please remember though that any inactivity for 1 minute will result in your account being logged out.

Hope this answers your query.

Don't forget to use the RuneScape Knowledge Base to find the answer to your queries quicker.

You can also find help on all free player and all new member quests through the QuestHelp system.

Yours Sincerely

Wow the Jag Mods aren't getting what input we give, Like on Alex's World 2 login... The first mod said you can and the second you couldn't.

Hes talking about inactivity, How can he tell about how long you are at your cpu. Did you say the posts content?

If you said the posts content from that section, I think they would count it as something or other (im befumbled by those tricky mods)...
I think you should try that again and show the result, then everyone will be all 8) and stuff.

I'd say this would work wonders on F2P, because there's better alternatives on P2P, like PC or Bandits.
