It's times like this I wished Jagex actually cares about us.

By us, I mean the higher-end players. Not the lower-end newbies who work for weeks just to earn 400k for their beloved full rune+d long+granite shield combo.

*I don't really know whether this should be in general or Media, I mean, just because I have a picture doesn't mean it's instantly non-general, right? So I'm not gonna crack my head thinking about it and let a mod decide.

Don't know what the middle finger one would mean, but if anyone in the guild i'm at said it they'd be in trouble

I totaly get what this means, I agree ten times more than anyone else does. ,,!,, is used all of the time. I see ffs and thuck all the time. This is not any way reasonable. I hate that stuff people say.

Point is, jagex will go out of their way to butcher the censor more, than to make beneficial updates.

Jagex are currently tweaking the censor again and it should be back to normal so only swears are censored.

TBH I think we should be able to talk about anything +13.

I have not seen the middle finger before...maybe becuase I hang out with the all the time

the abrevs get on my nerves escpicially when they do the chat effects thing but I tend to ignore them :wink:

Yes, sure the people swear and try to find every method they can to get around or through the censor. But we shouldn't let that actually get to us. if they are swearing, sure we should report them. if they're in a bad mood and just let it out once ... report them anyways, because they can just shout it out loud in their room or wherever they are for 5 minutes on end, then log back in and say "Oh me, I seem to have did in the wilderness and lost 34 million. What a pity."

Libraries are different, though, so I guess they should have some way to vent out their stress.

Anyways, back on topic. You're right. Instead of focusing on those lower level players, they should pay more attention to the higher level ones. I mean, we still can't go on unchaperoned by Jagex, making sure that the older high levels don't do newbish things ... and ......

... my apologies. I sometimes don't know what I type while I'm typing it, and I wind up changing my thoughts midway.

Ok, in a nutshell, different font color:

Jagex probably feels that the higher levels don't need tending to because they are experienced enough with Runescape to know all the rules on their own, and that they would rather focus on the inexperienced newbies so they too would know the rules and terms of gameplay.

As for the abbreviations, they only mean something to whoever understands them. Otherwise, it's just random gibberish. My guess is that Jagex doesn't really know about these sorts of abbreviations.
