Post subject: mini guides to random skills for noobs
PostPosted: July 29th, 2006, 2:43 pm
Now we all know what its like to be a noob. We were all there: Zezima, N0valyf, Divine God...they were all little lvl 3's being picked on at one point. Someone calling someone else a nob is generally a sign of self depression. They try to make themselves feel above you when in some cases (mine) the lvls of the lvl 3 are better than theirs....

I have a lvl 3 combat character with a total lvl of 896 because i have goten up all of his other skills apart from combat ones to around lvl 70. Heres how i did it:

Smithing and mining
The best place to start off is south of varrok. Mine 1000 tin and 1000 copper and put in yur bank. This can take at least a week, maybe two but it will get your mining level up to level 35~ish, then you shoudl smith all the ore. This will also get your smithin level up to level 30~ish. Once you've dne this mine iron in varrok. Keep mining for a long time, it takes a month or two to do it but you shoudl mine until your mining level is 60 this way you can enter the guild. You should have around 6-7k iron in your bank. Then in the guild you mine twice as much coal as you have iron. This should get your mining to at least 70-75. Then you smith all of the ore that you have. You should end up with a smithing lvl of around 65. from here you can do whatever you like...

Woodcutting and fletching and firemaking
first off, cut down trees until you are level 15, then cut oaks until you are lvl 30. Burn all of the logs you have. You should be around level 40 firemaking. then chop down 1000 logs and 1000 oaks and 10000 willows. Fletch all the logs into bows, then do all the oaks, then do all the willows. Your woodcutting shoudl be around lvl 70 now. Your firmaking still 40 and your fletching around 65. Cut dwon a further 5000 willows and burn them all. Your firemaking will be around lvl 68 from this Cut down Lots and lots of yews. I have 6000 and am still cutting them down. Then im going to just fletch them all.

Crafting
The best way to craft for me Is to start off and find about 100 cowhides. Craft them all into leather. This should get your crafting up to at least lvl 20. Then collect 30000 flax and make them all into bowstrings. Your crafting should be lvl 50. You either sell the bowstrings for 100 per (3milliongp). Or attack them to your bows. If you havent old them yet. If your not a member. I haven't had much time playing as non member, but i suppose keep making leathers. And then gradually strat making gold items. A good strategy is to stand at a bank and say: 'Fre gem cutting'. People trade in their uncuts for your cuts. Then you cut them and repeat. Hundred of people do it. and you can sometimes earn a bundle of xp if your in popular worlds.

Well thats all folks  fanx

for the fletching part, i would say get fletching to 70 with willow longs or maple longs, but fletching yews when youre not 70 fletching is a waste of logs... believe me.

Good guide but gettins 30k flax and stinging it takes about a month. You might wanna change that to make it a little more easier.
